Hilldale has grown its Board membership though the recruitment of a new Board member, Elaine Sams.
Elaine has over 30 years’ experience within the Social Housing Sector having worked for several Housing Associations and the Audit Commission. An auditor by trade, Elaine strengthens Hilldale’s regulatory approach, especially our compliance with the Consumer Standards.
Elaine also takes on additional duties to her non-exec role as the Member Responsible for Complaints and Chair of our newly formed Customer Committee.
The Hilldale Board have further strengthened our Governance structure by implemented the Customer Committee who have oversight of everything Customer and Consumer Standards, ensuring that Hilldale’s customers receive the service outcomes and experiences they expect. Hilldale’s Chair, James Boyd welcomed Elaine by saying “we are delighted to appoint Elaine to the Board. Elaine adds to our existing board skill set and will drive us forward in our plans to improve our customers experience and services by holding Officers to account through the Customer Committee an Board meetings”.
