Elaine has over 30 years’ experience in the housing sector. This includes leading housing management services for several local authorities and performance management, customer engagement and social value in a housing association environment.
She also has extensive audit and regulation experience, having worked for various regulators of social housing, primarily as an inspector for the Audit Commission. This involved assessing Housing Associations and Local Authorities against the economic and consumer standards and supported housing programmes, to report compliance and provide recommendations for service improvement.
Elaine is currently providing freelance consultancy in the areas of consumer regulation, complaint handling and Tenant Satisfaction Measures.
Elaine is Hilldale’s Member Responsible for Complaints and Chair of the Customer Experience Committee.
