How to Apply for Housing Benefits
If you or your appointee decide to claim for your housing benefit, Hilldale require proof of submission within 7 days of your tenancy agreement starting that you have done this.
If you are unsure of which housing benefit department you need to contact to submit your own claim, Hilldale can advise you of this. Most claims are now completed electronically online. You will need information about yourself, like your National Insurance Number, what your previous address was, all your income details along with any savings that you may have.
How to Pay
You can pay by setting up your own Standing Order using your online banking or you can go into your bank.
Alternatively, you can set up a Direct Debit.
If you wish to set up using Direct Debit, please complete a form by clicking on this link: https://pay.gocardless.com/AL00047DQGJ3NB
Once complete, please contact your housing officer to advise when you wish your payments to be taken; weekly, fortnightly, or monthly and the specific date.
Alternatively, Hilldale can set this up on your behalf by you completing the Direct Debit Agreement Form. You can complete this & return it to your housing officer who will arrange for this to be set up on your behalf. They will also need to know how you wish your payments to be taken; weekly, fortnightly, or monthly and the specific date.
