On the 8 January, Bilal Ismail joined team Hilldale as the new Housing Officer for Nottingham and Leicester.
As part of Bilal’s induction, we asked him about his career and what motivated him to join Hilldale as a Housing Officer.
“My career to date is within the civil service. I joined Hilldale from the Department of Work and Pensions. I visited people in their homes to assist them with benefit forms and financial assessments to determine their entitlements. I also spent a brief period in the complaints team. I truly enjoyed helping customers and going the extra mile. I witnessed a lot of that same commitment in this role and in the work that Hilldale has been doing across the country. I believe social housing will be a busy market in the coming years, and I am eager to contribute to its growth and make a positive impact.”
At Hilldale, our tenants are at the heart of everything we do, Bilal explains what he is most looking forward to and priorities for his tenants.
“I want to make a positive difference and create an inclusive environment in my new role, despite any challenges that I may face. My top priority when dealing with tenants is ensuring their satisfaction and well-being. I believe in placing customers at the centre of all actions and decisions.”
We welcome Bilal and look forward to him making a positive impact.
